Ice fishing trip on Lake Johku
The ice fishing trip sets off from the Johku Resort shore onto the ice of Lake Johku. Antti picks the spot, drills the holes and shows you how to move the jig so the perch get interested.
Rods and seats are ready for you. At the end we light a campfire, and if the lake was kind, the catch is cooked over it. Campfire coffee is made either way.
What to wear
Dress for winter: it is windy on the ice, and you get cold fast when sitting still. A warm mid-layer, a windproof outer layer, a hat and proper winter boots.
Ice safety
Trips only go when the ice is safe. If the ice does not hold or the weather is dangerous, the resort moves or cancels the trip.
